1981 Cessna 172P Skyhawk
$3,500 (1/20 Share) USD
Flying club partnership for sale. You will be a part owner in a Cessna 172 and a Piper Archer. Fly for only $85 hr. tach time, wet. Dues are $720 annually ($60/mo). Dues includes your insurance for which you would otherwise have to pay several hundred dollars.
This is cheap flying! Fly a rental plane for an hour it will cost $135/hr plus sales tax - $144 total. Fly your club plane for an hour it will cost .8 hr tach time at $85/hr, no sales tax - $68 total. $68 compared to $144 for the same hour of flying.
And with the club, there is no minimum charge to take the plane for the day or more. You own a part of the plane. You have your own keys.
The planes are kept at Meriden and Robinson airports. Every four months they switch locations. When in Meriden, the plane is in a hanger so you fly more often in the winter. The tie down at Robinson is drive through. Availability is good as many members don't fly often. People hold on to memberships because it may be awhile before one becomes available if given up.
Both planes are in excellent shape and well equipped. Low time engines. Good paint.
I am willing to sell my $4000 share for $3500. Bought an airplane.
Remember, your money is not gone like an initiation fee with most clubs. You can sell your share when the time comes and recoup some money. Like shares in a company, has value based on assets - two airplanes and a substantial amount of cash in the club's bank account. The club is Silver City. It has been around for decades. It is a great club and one of the least expensive. If calling by phone, be sure to leave a message.
